I was taught they are called stones not checkers. Checkers is a different game.
It is a REALLY HELPFUL VIDEO, when I saw every other video, my brain is messed up cause there are soooooooooo much rules, but this video said clearly what it is, I gives a thumb up right after I finished watching, thank you for making this video
I'm more confused now and I haven't even played the game yet. The tutorial is too fast !!
The only thing I never got about Backgammon was why bearing off is necessary. It seems to me that 99% of the time whoever gets their checkers home first is going to win the match and it would take a very unlucky series of rolls or a very poor distribution of home checkers to cause the bearing off process to linger on long enough for the other player to get their checkers home and start bearing off. I guess you have to play in the event that 1% fluke happens, but we usually just play to fill the home board at my house. Bearing off takes too long and is usually pointless.
I would love to meet the person who invented this game and ask them "why did you make this complicated. The board layout is migraine inducing.

Hello. Thank you for this tutorial. It was a little fast. I would suggest that you redo this video and speak and move the checkers much more slowly. Players need time to absorb each direction. I did pause and replay; however, you tutorial may become more popular if you take out the stress factor of trying to keep up.
