I got a huge theory that might not relate to any of this but still bothered me
After watching fairy tail for several times I have noticed that Lucy's past is still a mystery: in almost all of the arcs we see Gray, Erza and Natsu's past like from beginning to end however with Lucy it are only pieces like it's not told exactly from order , so my theory from the hole
'Lucky 7' is connected to the hole thing I just confirmed here so what I am trying to say is it possible that the word 'art' has something to do with the panting from the key and stary heathen arc

Zeref said those words are demonic letters( if I remember correctly) he was surprise that she can understand and even rewrite it but he mention that if one try to rewrite it they will turn dark. I think the theory Lucy being the god make more sense in this part but she did got some weird stuff on her body so idk the theory is good but her being a god is just too much.

I think I found something related to the E.N.D's book but it might not be true! This is just an assumption of mine.
In episode 223 and 224, Natsu had a new family whom he named "kemokemo". During the exchange student programme, at Lamia Scale, Lucy was asked by Jura to decipher the words. So I thought maybe the language could be related to the E.N.D's book. This may be wrong.
Another assumption of mine is the Amaterasu Formula 28 (Franmalth's spell). The words seem similar to me.

I've gone through most of the comments and almost no one talks about how in chapter 504, Natsu became E.N.D. I mean we all know that Lucy is the "trigger" and that she is the one who has had "a great impact on Natsu's maturity."
So, like we all know, Lucy caused the awakening of E.N.D. Right? Because E.N.D already awakened there was no need for the seal. The seal broke as soon as Natsu lost control. However, it was partially gained when he saw another woman who also had a huge impact in Natsu's life, Erza. But then gained full consciousness and then realized his limit when he saw Lucy once again.
P.S I love all your theories except for, you know, the ones that were proven wrong (but they were still pretty good ones) but I don't think that all of Mashima's reasons for his way of doing things has to be so complex. Sometimes its just simple.
I'm not sure but, if I remembered it right, when lucy touched or opened the book daybreak, it didn't open, the letters appeared only after the son opened it and it didn't work either when the man (who loves ugly maids) opened it .. so i thought maybe there is something in that way.. so the reason why lucy can open the end book is similar to the reason why the son could open the book of his father, maybe only someone who is close to natsu could open it? or someone important, because the book represents natsu if I'm not wrong.. what do you think?

1- do you think acnologia and zancrow have any connection?
because A- zeref killed zancrow / B- then zeref on hade's ship said something like "i'll punish you for summoning acnologia to this world" / C- then acnologia appeared for the first time on tenrou island during the S rank exam
when zeref started to wake up while zancrow is holding him, the first word zeref said was "acnologia", maybe he could sense something of zancrow that reminded him of acnologia?
they have something in common too, they are both evil, and they hate weaklings, also they have similar hairstyle! xD
2- i remembered that line from weisslogia or skiadrum that "human's memories can be falsified in many ways", this is how sting and rogue believed that they killed their dragons. so what if most of the past events in fairy tail are actually not the truth and someone who may have memory control magic has been messing with everyone's thoughts or beliefs? specially zeref and acnologia's memories

i searched about "art y filia" .. 'filia' means 'daughter' (lucy) and when translated "Art And Filia" or "Art And Daughter" maybe, art signifies the "magic" (magic art) like 'secret magic art' which may be connected to lucy.. my conclusion: 'Fairy Tail' = 'Secret Magic Art of Lucy'

You can read the previous chapter wherein Igneel told Natsu to do not open the book.
Meaning they can open the book whenever they want, but Igneel insist to not open the book because there will be something to happen.

Maybe zeref stored memories of his past with his brother natsu who always wanted to be as strong as him. Maybe it's message from zeref to his brother. And i really think that zeref might turn out to be good guy at end and the new old lady which came from past might be evil like want to steal Lucy's power or something.

. The Tartaros Arc, Mard Geer was always holding that book without opening it maybe "he" can't open it or maybe there's this thing called "CHOSEN" precisely saying: "Lucy is Chosen"
I think the Book of E.N.D is only to be opened by Lucy because it has a message to relay that only Lucy can understand.
