  1. I thought the game was fun but, canon wise I would leave some quests. Things like Mothership Zeta can just be written off as a wild wasteland Jet trip by the Lone Wanderer. Bethesda needs to put more passion into fallout. TTW is the only way to play F3.

  2. I've watched this video several times and every time I hear that clip of The Master at 1:09:21 it sends chills through me. I've never really played the earlier fallouts (I tried 2 but kept bouncing right off of it, maybe I'll try again soon) but the voice acting and writing here is just so wonderfully delivered.

  3. When this game came out, Fallout fans were desperate. The company was gone, and it looked like our favorite series was doomed until Bethesda resurrected it. When you compare it to other Fallout games, it really is very shallow. It has no depth, and feels like it was thrown together in a big hurry. This is exactly the opposite of the first 2 games, which felt like they were a culmination of a life of day dreams and hard work. You're absolutely right – the game was pretty bad. But for starving Fallout fanatics, it was still a blessing. Bethesda seems to be having a lot of trouble figuring out what makes Fallout great, and continues to struggle with it to this day. Lets hope they get it, eventually.

  4. i remember going into the slaver town and being horrified at it all. I found the kids where enslaved and wanting to free them I pulled my gun and started shooting and was quickly overwhelmed and killed.
When I reloaded I decided to try buying the kids and freeing them once I got away from town which I thought was a good thing and the kids were happy but then I turn on the radio and Three-Dogg is like "You know that vault dweller kid? Guess who was just seen coming out slaver town (i forget the name and don't care enough to look it up)."
He was basically insinuating that I did business with the slavers to enslave more people, not that I had bought children in order to free them. And also, when you free the kids they just go running off into the wasteland without any protections or anything. There wasn't even a quest to take them to an orphanage or their parents or whatever. it's just "There ya go kids. be free, run and scurry through the wasteland. Hope you don't get eaten by a deathclaw."

  5. Everyone commenting has a line that stuck with them. Mine is (and I’m sure someone said it) is about “avoiding the story to enjoy the game”. The one game I can’t help but try to get involved with the story line is Fallout New Vegas. I have been replaying and trying to see what it’s like to leave the story alone before I go through side quests and DLC and it’s SO difficult to have that willpower. The main story is SO GOOD

  6. I still remember when it was this and Fallout New Vegas. 3 was the one everyone loved and New Vegas was so wildly panned and met with disappointment that youd have thought people hated it. Now theres been a massive paradigm shift and NV is getting so much more love. Even I wasn't huge on it and I loved 3. But I kept coming back to New Vegas much more often and I remember so much more of it. I think that speaks much more to its quality
